Gotye & Kimbra

Bob treated me to the Gotye and Kimbra concert in Ypsilanti. We are both nuts about their single, "Somebody That I Used To Know" and were so excited to see them live. Kimbra totally blew our minds, her voice is phenomenal and her songs are so different and interesting. She's a mix of pop, soul and R&B.

Here is her latest single that I'm loving.

Gotye was equally great, but in a very different way. His music can be very ambient and is much less of a "show" than Kimbra, who was dancing around and very energetic. Gotye set a great mood and has a fantastic voice. One interesting thing he incorporated into his show were these little short films, mostly animated that accompanied each song. They were stunning.

If they are coming to your town, go see them! 

Such a fantastic show.
