The Rust Belt

Merlson had a gig at an artist's market, The Rustbelt Market this weekend, which is like Etsy, but in real life-- and a local guy, Chris Cunnington took some photos of us and shared them! I'll share some of my favorites with you!

This is Bob's nephew, Sam, who came to watch our show and dance the night away!

Weekend Update

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was nice, spent a lot of time with family, played some music, went to a little dinner party at Jimmy and Liz's! All around a nice little break from the day to day grind. Wish it were longer!

It was so nice out Saturday...

...I wore sunglasses! (hat, kate spade)

Liz & Jimmy had us over for dinner Sunday night. Yum.

I call this series, "Through The Paper Towel" ;)

Date Night

Last night, Bob and I headed over to Redcoat Tavern to split a burger for a late dinner. It was nice to spend time just the two of us. This dog sitting is real time consuming! We always look forward to a Redcoat burger and some alone time. Happy almost Friday!

This kind gentleman welcomes you to the establishment on your way in.

Finger lickin' good!- literally

On a side note--- this dog has a thing for sticks.
Notice the sitck to body ratio here.
I think he may suffer from some self image issues.
Beau, you are not a big dog!

Alaskan Adventure

So, BIG news around these parts, Bob and I are going to Alaska! This March we will be venturing to Fairbanks Alaska, with our primary goal to see the Northern Lights, or the aurora borealis. This is one of those bucket list trips that I'm thrilled we are biting the bullet on and just going! Just go! Here are some amazing shots of the Northern Lights. Click on the link to learn more about the science, folk lore and magic of this natural phenomenon.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”

Weekend Update

So I've been dog sitting the past 5 days and will be for the next 5! I've never had a dog, so this has been an interesting experience. Due to the dog sitting, my weekend was a bit limited. I saw some movies- Haywire is fantastic and Gina Carrano is a bad ass. We Bought a Zoo was SO good, much better than I anticipated and definitely worth a watch.

Bob and I hit up the Pistons game Saturday night, we won! This is the fourth game they've won this season out of 14. I swear Bob and I must be good luck charms. Every Detroit sports game we go to, they win! Even the Lions... last season. Sunday, we had some friends over for fish tacos. YUM. Hope your weekend was nice!

There was a really impressive drum line after the game.

Bob admiring the drum line!

I now wake up very early to take the dog on is morning walk.
At least I get to see some great sun rises.

Sunday brunch at Papa Joes.

Fish Tacos!

Pat, admiring Bob's mad fish taco skills.

This is my little part time dog, Beau.

Happy Monday?
We can do it!
