Once I finally found my way (thank god for the Lodge), we headed to the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Point. This has become a great spot for jazz musicians to play and be heard. There is a great respect for the musicians here, probably because the woman who owns it, Gretchen Valade runs the Detroit Jazz Fest and Mack Ave. Records. Our friend Chris was playing last night, so we decided to check it out! ps- the food was amazing!
I HAD to get this wine! I graduated from Aquinas College in 10'. crazy, eh?! |
G. McKay on Drums, Perry Hughes on Guitar and Chris Codish on Organ. |
She was so badass. |
I think this was Bob's favorite part of the evening ;) Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend. Check out this fantastic article on Detroit in the Huffington Post. iz |
Hi Iz, how cool was the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe? We were there two times in one week. We took Gianna there on the 28th of December before she went back to VA then we went back on the 30th of December to celebrate Steven's, Honey's and my birthday. Yes the food is soooo awesome and the entertainment is just sublime. Let us know if we can all meet up there some time for some cool jazz entertainment. We love that restaurant!
