During the creation of this blog, I went in with the ultimate goal and intention of creating a positive space to collect and share the things I love and that inspire me. Bob and I had a fantastic weekend, filled with Birthday celebrations and Christmas preparations, but I haven't felt the urge to blog about it all quite yet with the thought in the back of my mind- how can I write a blog post and not mention the many innocent lives lost in the recent Sandy Hook shooting? Even though Bob and I weren't directly affected by this tragedy, we spent the 2 hour drive to Kalamazoo listening to NPR coverage and moments throughout the weekend discussing with friends and family and holding our little niece Clara tight. Our thoughts and prayers are with all people affected by this tragedy, directly or indirectly, this is a sad time for our Nation and all I can hope for is that some positive change will come out of such an unthinkable event.
